Cathay Pacific Airways has become the sixth airline to operate the
world’s latest and most efficient twin engine widebody airliner. The
airline’s first aircraft featuring the carrier’s new livery has arrived
at its home base in Chep lap kok international airport Hongkong on 29 may 2016 from Toulouse .Cathay Pacific has configured its A350-900 with a premium three class
layout with a total of 280 seats, comprising 38 in Business Class,
convertible to fully lie-flat beds, 28 in Premium Economy and 214 in the
main cabin.Cathay Pacific has become the third asian airlines operator of the Airbus 350 and plans to operate on regional route to Manila and Taipei to begin crews familiarization of the new aircraft before being operated to long haul flight to London Gatwick on 2nd september followed with Duesseldorf and Auckland .Cathay Pacific has 48 firm order of Airbus 350 consist of 22 A350-900 variant and 26 A350-1000 variant,and take delivery of 12 A350-900 in 2016 and 10 A350 will deliver in 2017,the first of six A350-1000 expected in 2018,followed 10 in 2019 and 10 in 2020 and will replace the aging and less fuel efficient A340,B747,and B777-200./
